Biography

Walter G. Scott was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., and earned a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona. He served in the U.S. Army.

He began his electrical engineering career with the Salt River Project in Phoenix, Ariz. in 1949. In 1962 he began his international consulting career by managing water and power projects in Pakistan. He continued to provide consulting services to developing countries by assisting them in implementing electrical power distribution to remote areas.

In 1976 he began a consul ting firm with his wife, Monica, called Scott & Scott Consultants. More recently, he was semi-retired and still provided consulting services to the World Bank and various entities on projects throughout the world.

He was a registered professional engineer in the states of Arizona, Missouri and Michigan. He was active in the Birch Bay community, including the Chamber of Commerce.

Scott died on September 15th, 1998.
