May I suggest u expand upon the channel concept as one of the key factors contributing to the success of the S/360. It is touched on in the market segment, "The most significant market impact of IBM System/360 resulted from its pioneering standard interface." It was pioneering and deserves more treatment.
You might consider replacing the Storage Products section with a section on the IBM Channel, incorporating the tape and disks as examples. As you note there really wasn't much new in tape and for that matter the 2311 was just the 1311 warmed over. The really important disk was the 2314 which, at least according to my IBM friends, was the driving technology leading to all data on line.
