Biography

Lt. Col. James French Strother was a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel who later worked for defense contractors supporting military communications and electronics system acquisition programs.

He was a native of San Antonio, Texas, and was a graduate of Texas A&M University. He received an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas. He lived in the Washington, D.C., area since 1963. Lt. Col. Strother began his 25-year military career with the Army Air Corps in 1940. Over the years, his assignments included management responsibilities in the development, testing, evaluation, acquisition and operation of communications and electronics systems. He was an elder and a member of the choir of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.

Strother died on August 21st, 1998.
