Jack Jatlow came to the U.S. from Poland in 1909. He received an electrical engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y., USA, in 1924. His career started as development engineer for the PosiPrint Corp., then as owner of the Republic Engineering Products Co. Biography
Jack Jatlow came to the U.S. from Poland in 1909. He received an electrical engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y., USA, in 1924. His career started as development engineer for the PosiPrint Corp., then as owner of the Republic Engineering Products Co. He then joined the Federal Telephone and Radio Company as manager of systems engineering and later served as director of defense communications at ITT Laboratories.
Mr. Jatlow held a patent for remote control by means of carrier frequency over power lines, and in 1964 received his IEEE fellow award "for contributions in the field of FM carrier telegraphy and troposcatter communications systems."
He was also a past chair of the IEEE New York Section and past chair of the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology Awards Committee.
