IEEE Important dates in the history of the Polish section of the IEEE

July 2009 A Women in Engineering (WiE) affinity group is established. Professor Barbara Obryk is a Chair of WiE.

November 2007 Prof. Modelski was elected Director of the IEEE Region 8 for the period 2009-2010.

September 2007 Warsaw Polytechnic held an international conference IEEE Region 8 EUROCON 2007 "Computer as a tool."

October 2004 Joseph Modelski is elected "Vice-Chair for Technical Activities" in the IEEE Board of Governors R8.

May 2004 Signed a cooperation agreement between Poland and the Polish Section SPIE Section IEEE.

April 2004 April 22-24 Poland Section hosted the meeting of Regional 8 IEEE in Krakow.

June 2003 IEEE President Arthur Winston (20.04.2004) signed a cooperation agreement between the IEEE, the SEP and SP-IEEE.

June 2003 Polish Section of the IEEE receives award for Region increase in the number of Senior Members.

May 2003 Signed a cooperation agreement between the Polish Association of Electrical Engineering of Theoretical and Applied (PTETiS) and the Polish Section IEEE (SP-IEEE).

January 1997 SP IEEE receives banner on the occasion of 25th anniversary activities.

June, 17 1996 An international conference IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics ISIE'96, organized by the Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics PW and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.

February 29, 1996 Adam Smoliński, initiator and co-PS IEEE, the first President of the Polish Section, a member of the Board of all the existing mandate.

January 5, 1995 IEEE Board of Directors has appointed a new polish Division (Chapter) Electron Devices.

April 20 1994 SP-IEEE and the SEP extend the Agreement on Cooperation for the period until 31 December 1999

December 6, 1973 IEEE PS and the SEP have concluded a cooperation agreement for a period of twenty years.

December 1, 1972  The emergence of the Polish section of the IEEE, the temporary Board has professor Adam Smolińskim at the forefront.
