The IEEE Operations Center at 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, New Jersey, was built in three stages.

As the size of the IEEE staff in New York City grew, IEEE needed to find expanded facilities. It was decided to purchase land and build a building outside New York City to house operations such as the warehouse, from which IEEE publications and products were shipped, and the membership operations. Land was purchased (1973?) and ground was broken in 1975.
