Biography

Edward U. Lee was born in Boston. A graduate of Boston College, he later earned an M.S. in physics at Northeastern University in Boston and an M.S. in business administration from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-62. Mr. Lee held numerous leadership positions within the IEEE, including the chair of the Boston section. In 1993 he was chair of the planning group of ELECTRO, the annual Region 1 conference and exhibit, and was chair of the event in 1994 and 1995.

He was employed by Raytheon Co. for 18 years. For the past 14 years, he was employed by Digital Equipment Corp., in his most recent position as group manager for systems technical operations in the company's Shrewsbury, N.J., office.

Lee died on March 17th, 1998.
