Anne Chiang

Born in 1942, Dr. Chiang, an IEEE Senior Member, was born in China to well educated parents who encouraged her to achieve. Her early schooling gave her a chance to study while being inspired and encouraged by her teachers.

She attended National Taiwan University, earning Bachelors in Chemistry. She immigrated to the United States and attended the University of Southern California, taking a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. From 1968 to 1972 she worked at Memorex and joined Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) which had been formed just two years earlier.
