Biography

W. L. "Lou" Thrailkill was born in Victor, Mont., USA, and moved to Spokane in 1933 and went to work as a rate engineer for Washington Water Power.

He later became manager of the consulting and research department and in 1944 was named assistant general manager. He served as vice president for finance at WWP from 1957 until he retired in 1967.

He was a graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle, Wash., and did postgraduate work at the University of Michigan. He was an instructor of general engineering at the University of Washington for one year and then worked for the Washington Department of Public Service from 1928-33.

He had served as president and vice president of the Northwest Electric Light and Power Association and was past president of the Washington Society of Professional Engineers and received the Outstanding Service Award from the WSPE.

Thrailkill died on April 21st, 1997.
