It would appear the project's internal IBM name, ''Defense Calculator'', has become tangled with the machine's description.  See Bash, ... ''IBM's Early Computers'' p.135-164.  The tangle can be deleted without loss. The project's name (which is of historic interest - p.135) should be stated explicitly if desired.
