History of Region 9

The original boundaries of Region 9, at the creation of IEEE in 1963 included not only Latin American and the Caribbean, but Asia, the Pacific Rim, and most of Africa as well. In 1967, IEEE created a Region 10 in Asia the Pacific Rim, and Africa in 1967, leaving Region 9 with its current boundaries.
