Biography

Peter de Blanc was born on November 17th, 1944 and attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada, then worked at the IBM Research and Development Labs in East Fishkill, New York, USA. Later, he served as a communications and microcomputer consultant to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in the Eastern Caribbean and helped bring the Internet to the U.S. Virgin Islands and other Caribbean islands. In 1973, he became the youngest IEEE member elevated to Senior status.

de Blanc died on June 26th, 2002.
