The SPARC RISC architecture was introduced in 1987 by Sun Microsystems. Leveraging UC Berkeley RISC and Sun compiler and operating system developments, the SPARC architecture is highly adaptable to evolving semiconductor technology and user needs. The architecture delivers the highest performance, scalable workstations and servers, for engineering, business, Internet, and cloud computing applications. <come back to this>
