The IEEE Tainan Section is located in [[Region 10 (Asia & Pacific) History|Region 10]], and was formed on 16 October 1974. It is represented at the [[IEEE China Council History|IEEE China Council]].  
The IEEE Tainan Section was initiated by a preparatory committee and formally formed 2003. Currently it has more than 500 members in Taiwan. Taiwan is grouped into Region 10 Asia Pacific and has two sections: the Taipei Section and the Tainan Section. The Tainan Section's boundaries include Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung and Pingtun. Members who reside in the area are automatically recognized as members of Tainan Section by IEEE.&nbsp;<br>
