La Sección Española del IEEE pertenece a la Región 8 del IEEE. Se compone de más de 3000 Miembros, 13 Ramas y 19 Capítulos. Fue creada el 16 de abril de 1968, siendo su primer presidente el profesor Rogelio Segovia.
