IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society History

- February 14, 1999 – BoD approved formation of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Council (TAB approved in June 1998)
- June 20, 2004 – Changed from Council to Society. The IEEE BoD approved changing the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Council from a Technical Council to a Society (TAB approved 19 June 2004).
