Biography

Homer M. Rustebakke was born in 1917, near Scoby, Montana, and earned his Ph.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was employed by Westinghouse Electric at Lima Ohio, then became a professor in the electrical engineering department of the University of Washington.

Dr. Rustebakke worked for General Electric at Schenectady, N.Y., for nearly 30 years, where he became dean of the General Electric Power Systems Engineering Course in 1964, and held that position until his retirement in 1982. Rustebakke was an IEEE Life Fellow

Rustebakke died in January 2000.
