Fulton Cutting of New York, N.Y., former president and chairman of the board of directors of the Colonial Radio Corporation, Buffalo, N.Y., has been appointed assistant to the president for research and professor of physics at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, N.J. He holds the degrees of bachelor of arts, master of arts, master of electrical engineering, and doctor of science from Harvard University. During World War I, Mr. Cutting worked with the Bureau of Aircraft Production and afterwards was president of Cutting and Washington, Inc., radio manufacturers. In 1924 he organized the Colonial Radio Corporation, became its president, and later chairman of the board of directors. He terminated this association in 1944. From 1941 to the end of the war Mr. Cutting was a member of the operational research staff in the Office of the Chief Signal Officer, United States Army. He is a past president of the Institute of Radio Engineers and has served on the board of directors of the Metropolitan Opera Association, the Prisoners Association of New York, and the New York Trade School. | |||
