Throughout his 42-year tenure with the Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), and more than 30 years of service to the IEEE, Don C. Loughry has guided the development of digital interface standards and designed the model for standards development worldwide. As a corporate interface engineer in the 1970s, he led the H-P Interface Bus team, whose work became the basis for IEEE Standard 488, "Digital Interface for Programmable Instrumentation."
