The Computer Pioneers is a video oral history project produced by Richard Jay Solomon.  This segment of the series discusses the development of the IBM 701 model computer, also known as the Defense Calculator, in the early 1950s.  These interviews were conducted on July 12th, 1983 and feature several members of the IBM 701's development team including Jerrier Haddad, Clarence Frizzell, Nathan Rochester, and Richard Whalen.
