Switched Output is an oral history project produced by Richard Jay Solomon. This segment of the unfinished documentary chronicles the development of time-sharing operating systems at MIT in the 1960s. The discussion was taped on May 14th and 15th in 1983 and includes participants Fernando Corbato, Philip Morse, John McCarthy, Robert Fano, Herbert Teager, and Edward Fredkin.
