The Computer Pioneers was intended to be a film documenting the evolution of early computers through the oral histories of the participants themselves.  This segment involves an informal discussion group comprised of Jerrier Haddad, Clarence Frizzell, and Nathan Rochester.  The topics discussed in the video include developments in mobile computing, computer aided instruction and educational video games, the Von Neumann architecture, Maurice Wilkes, Vannevar Bush, Alan Turing, the selectron tube, microfabrication, clean room manufacturing, magnetic tape, artificial intelligence, and the IBM PC club, among others.
