Moving domain walls in a ferromagnetic material caused by an external magnetic field. This phenomena was observed with A Kerr-effect Microscope - Image and Information by Zureks and Chris Vardon.

Also called the quadratic electro-optic effect, a change in the refractive index of a material in response to the application of an electric field
