Biography
Helen Thorington was born on November 16th, 1928 and started composing electronic music for her children's musical "The Frog Hollow Ghost", and her experimental piece "Trying to Think" was aired on NPR in 1977. She frequently wrote electronic music pieces for radio, incorporating various sounds and narrative aspects that were intended to be listened to on that medium. Her work was frequently featured both on the radio and in art galleries, and in 1996 she founded the website turbulence.org
Thorington died on April 13th, 2023.
