IEEE GALVESTON BAY SECTION
The Galveston Bay Section has been very active supporting IEEE objectives in organizing technical events for our members at large, including other organizations.
- Co-hosted IEEE/NTC’90- National TeleSystems Conference
- Co-hosted IEEE/GlobeCom’93 ComSoc Conference
- Co-hosted R5 Annual Conference and Students Competitions, 1998 and 2003
- Hosted IEEE 49th VTC (vehicle Technology Conference) 1999
- Organized IEEE Conference on RFID ands Wireless, SWIRF, 2007
- Organized Houston System of Systems Symposium, 2007
- Hosted National Engineering Week (now discover-E) STM Futurew City Competition, 1998-2020
- Hosted and organized IEEE Video Conferencing for 8 years (before internet on-line)
- Organbized and hosted R5 Stepping Stone Awards and ceremonies for two awards, 2019
- Organized and hosted International Symposium in Measurement and Control in Robotics (ISMCR), 1988, 1994, 2004 and 2019
